David Fincher’s Gone Girl, is a loathsome thriller about a missing wife and the husband accused of her murder. The characters are amoral and unlikable, and although a cynical portrayal of marriage, it is rather enjoyable, but does leave you a bad taste in your mouth that almost makes you fear marriage.

It explores media sensationalism and the effects they have on our lives. Rosamund Pike plays the seductive manipulating wife to Ben Affleck’s tortured cheating husband with Tyler Perry as the slick Lawyer. Gone Girl is superb and masterful in its depiction of a marriage gone badly. One of Fincher’s best.
